Merry Christmas to all... Ours started as most of our holidays with a bang.. Dec 23 we were at the ER with Chase because he decided to jump off the chair and land into the coffee table.. he hit his face and we took him to make sure that nothing was broke.. He did great and all good now except for the swelling and bruising.. now when you see his picture ..its hard to look at but I'm telling you he doesn't even complain...my little trooper... it hurts me more than it does him..
So we start Christmas Eve with work... yes I worked until 1 then hurried off to my mothers for our Slovak/German Christmas dinner. Opluckies..Perogies, fish, and my fave....Machunka.. not sure on spelling but it is a mushroom soup made with straw (pinki) mushrooms and saurtkraut juice and some other ingredients I'm not sure of... its great and you would agree if you ever ate it.. That my family tradition and it is not Christmas eve unless i eat that.. Then presents and goofing off.. then we are off to Chas's family and eat and exchange gifts... where Chas gets harassed cause he has no clue what we bought anyone. The kids pass out the gifts and everyone goes home with something just for them.... lots of goodies... we pack up and head for home watching to see if we see Santa and talk about what he may bring.. then its off to bed....
We awoke around 9 and got to opening gifts... Chase loved his Titanic ship and everything else. Ashton loved Wii Animal Crossing and all his things, and Hannah has a new wardrobe and Guitar Hero to jam with... I made a turkey and we were off to his parents for dinner...Christmas goes to fast and there is allot to do and little time... but I'm off to work in the morn as well as Chas and just about everyone else.. So I wish you again a very merry Christmas and a safe and HEALTHY New Year...

My very wet birthday....
So yes... today is my 31st birthday... I don't mind the age... I just mind it being close to Christmas.... Well I got my phone calls wishing me a happy birthday... the girls at work got me balloons (though i ask them not to) and gave me money ... Thanks guys... Well I always like snow on my birthday and really that's truly all I want.... Well this year I got rain...LOTS of rain that it flooded my work and I spent most of my day in bare feet in water trying to help save my work place.. .. I work with such good girls that we actually laughed most of the time..... every now and then someone said .... Happy Birthday... and we laughed while we were frantically moving and packing up stuff while the water just came in... we called our people and are now working Sunday if we can get back in by then.... It was like a movie... We just couldn't believe it.. Finally the fire company made us all leave due to a transformer... I never thought this would happen ...especially right before Christmas.. But we will reopen and hopefully soon.... I have never in my life wished so much that it would have been snow... would have been easier to clean up... One more thing.. anyone living in my area... Do NOT shop at Ollies.... we "borrowed" 5 shopping carts to put our retail in to save it and they demanded their 5 shopping carts back... Can you believe that... they had rows of them... I will NEVER .. Ever shop there again... yes we did give them back.... but they will never see one of us in there again... People are suppose to come together in times like that.... I'm glad I work for who I do and who i work with as coworkers.... we all pitched in an did what we could no matter how wet or cold we were.... Now that's what I call team work...

Happy 5th Birthday Chase!!
Yes.....Chase's cake is Jaws... Its one of his many obsessions these days... Thanks to my mother she made it happen... I cant imagine what its like not to be able to get what ever cake your kid can think of.. I always remember having the goofiest cakes.. like bride and groom penguins, snow globe, cabbage patch kids, and Christmas mouse just to name a few...
We had a crowd and it was a beautiful day out.. Grandma,Tom,Kristie,Maddie,Abbie,Maggie, Henry,Baba,Pappy,Di,Cherie,Devin,Mia,Randy,Jessie,Logan,Jen,Ryan,Arrisa and Nathan..All in my tiny little house...
Chase picked out all of the candles you see on his cake....
He got Pixos that were once banned....(aqua dots) but he loved them so much and was so mad at me when I had to get rid of them.... He wanted a shark but there was no pattern so we made our own... he could sit there all day and make things...Thanks Aunt Cherie..
Let it snow...

O Christmas Tree....
Every year...( against my wishes) we drive "far away" and get a real tree. I have a perfectly good "real" like one in the basement but you know... what fun is that... so I get the kids all bundled up to venture outside to find a tree. This year they had Santa there...
So after telling Santa what they want for Christmas we are off... "Over the river and thru the woods " to fetch a tree. We cant go to the tree lot right across the road... no we have to walk where no one else goes... What fun is that?? It really didn't take us that long to find our tree... It seemed very blue and I liked that it was tall... Chas stood by it so we could tell if it would fit in the house....

I try to get pictures of the kids by the tree before we chop it down and Chas just wasn't having it... but then we take the traditional lumber jack pose and he warmed up......

my bank robbers.....

Before......

After.....

So far so good.... Hasn't fallen over ....YET.... and we didn't have to tie it to the wall either.... its a good Christmas so far...by the way.. this is the 3rd tree in my living room.... yes I have lost it..
