Butterflies...

Yes I am crazy... I honestly get that gene from my mother.. I always call her and say " Hey mom I seen this thing ... I'm going to try it." Then I call her about 10 times that day for her advice.. It all started from the butterflies.. I was watching TV and seen them making the butterflies out of gum paste(edible) and so I thought that's awesome ..I could so do that so Monday I ran to Michael's and used my 40% coupon and started on the butterflies... I printed out a picture of one and made it in different sizes then my favorite part was painting them.. Then I had another crazy idea to put them on a cake so I used fondant that my mother had given me and some colored fondant I had. Ya not as easy as it looks but I didn't do to bad.. then I trimmed the bottom with orange and cut out leaves.. Painted swirls with red food coloring , attached butterflies and wallah... I had so much fun a made smaller butterflies for cup cakes.. the girls at work love it when I bring things in.... now it looks good but does it taste good.... will let you know...

Sanitation Engineer

This is Chas's new job.. Not the most glorified job but the pay is great... I have realized what to do and what not to do when it comes to garbage day...

1. Do not over fill the bag that it is too heavy that you have to drag it..the back of the truck is waist high

2. Please dump out water in cans after rain

3. Think of its as if you were the garbage man

4. Drinks for the men are greatly appreciated (esp when hot)

5. If behind truck just remember they are doing their job

the truck weighs TONS and with out them our neighborhoods

wouldn't smell so good..

So the next time you see the "Sanitation Engineer" as Chas likes to be called please wave and say thank you and remember with out them this world would be alot dirtier.... I'm also sad to report that Chas will be loosing his job in January due to someone out bidding his company.. He will be off to his next adventure.... Chase wants him to build "cho chos" again...

Pillow shopping

Here are some pictures from my latest adventure to the store.. Chase has out done himself again.. We were in TJ Max and I stopped down the pillow isle and was checking them out for the living room when all of a sudden I could not find Chase... Yes there he was ...laying on the shelf all nice and cozy on the pillows... out of my sight... Thank God for camera phones...

Happy Fall Yall

Its soup time... good old fashion beef soup that my mother taught me how to make..... and home made dumplings to boot... I love fall just for the fact that you can warm the house just by making soup and baking pies... we go thru pumpkin pies like you wouldn't believe....

What I can't believe is that I'm getting costumes already.. I usually wait until the week before then go frantically to all the stores conning the kids into getting something that is left and cheap or going on line to order one and paying WAY too much... Hannah's done and so is Chase... Now for Ashton ..... that's another story.. He has no clue what he wants to be ... but I'm working on it.. I'm asking him every day until he picks just so he doesn't forget...

I had to drive out to my moms today to get Hannah and Ashton and the trees are changing so fast.. Chase told me that we need to get a leaf blower (one in the shed) but Chas chimed in "That's why we have a mulcher mower ( that's broke)". So yet again they will sit and "fertilize" the yard.. I need to get my hay and corn stalks at the farm in Nicktown....

Day out with Thomas

So our adventure started off rocky but ended great... We decide on Thursday night that we were going to take the kids to see Thomas the Tank Engine for Saturday.. Well I couldn't get the tickets on line it was too late so we would just get them when we got there.. Then we went to the bank and stupid me left my mac card in the ATM in Johnstown.. Ya didn't realize this till we were at Thomas..They said the machine will suck it back in so pray its there Monday.. Figured out another way to pay ( thank God for credit cards)It took us a little over 3 hours to get there and " Sally" our guide was wonderful.( it was our GPS that we borrowed and Chas found to be helpful.. they are great and we used it every time we went somewhere, you can not get lost with one...trust me.. Chas tried... she would say... recalculating...) Chase wanted to ride both trains they had there so we had to wait until the next day to ride but it was ok we got the tickets , shopped and found a hotel to say at...


Hannah didn't like it because no pool... but she survived.. we shopped and ate at Texas Road House... wonderful.. every now and then they would dance in the isles.. chase got a kick out of them and I think Chas even enjoyed himself too...

Saturday night we took the kids to putt putt at a place we went before.. Lost Treasure and it is beautiful there...



Chase wanted to use the plastic club and he would whack it so hard and he did pretty good.. I was more into taking pictures and Hannah and Chas were battling it out...Ashton didn't care either way.

Hannah and I also got a hole in one.... luck... skill I say... then we headed back to the hotel for a good night sleep and to see Thomas in the morning...

The other picture he fell asleep and his reflection in the window was so perfect that I had to take a picture of the babe sleeping.... So we are finally home they are playing with their new toys and I'm trying to catch up on things.. Cowboys are on tonight so I wont catch up too much....

Doc's

So today went good.. No one got sick but traffic was horrendous... When we finally got there we were early so we headed to Chase's favorite spot.... the train

This is the waiting area for us.. Some one painted a very cute scene on the wall and it has all of the doctors and nurse names in it ...

Here are just some snap shots of their doctor... The lady is an intern and the man is Dr. Tash.. his real name is too long and have no clue how to say it let along spell it so we call him Dr. Tash. Ashton is doing great and Hannah is too... She will now only be getting a shot every other week. We just found out that Dr. Tash is leaving to go to Singapore.. So our next appt in December will be our last with him... :( So now we have to get used to another doctor... All is well...

They have to check all of their joints and make them do funny things... Hannah was thrilled ..can you tell???

Fingers crossed

We head off to Pittsburgh tomorrow @ 9 to go to Hannah and Ashton's doctors appt. Traffic and parking is terrible there... I dread it but glad that Donna's driving.... I cant do traffic.
Last time we tried this we got half way and Ashton got sick and well we had to turn around cause the smell ..well you know... So I have planed for us to eat toast in the morning and have things on hand in the car in case of emergency.. We are (Hannah mostly) hoping that Dr. Tash is going to let her take 1 shot every other week instead of every week... That would be heaven sent to her and me.... She is doing very well and Ashton is good too... They just keep and eye on him to make sure there was no permanent damage to his hip joints...So keep them in mind today and I hope you have a good day too....

Fall???

It so felt like a nice fall day.. It was cool and after homework the boys decided to go outside to play and ride bikes. The sun was setting and some of the pictures came out great.

Chase's tricycle..I was using it for decoration cause he did out grow it but man can he fly down the sidewalk with his legs out ...then to stop he drags his feet to slow down and stop before hitting my car...

Ashton is getting so much better at riding his bike... he wanted to show off to me and he did so good... I had to ask him to stop to get a picture cause he was going to fast and getting out of the shot...

Chase made me take this picture... with this pose ... I took some other ones but I deleted them cause they were just too goofy...

Well here is my giving into summers over... I put up some fall leaves for now.... Its my favorite time of the year next to Christmas...
