A little trip

We didn't get to go anywhere exciting because Chas has just started his new job and he doesn't have any vacation time so the end of summer is nearing and I thought that the kids needed some where to go. We have a few amusement parks .. most are expensive and dont have many rides that the kids can all ride so everyone was telling me about Delgrosso's out in Tipton. I figured it was only about and hour away and I bought 5 jars of their spaghetti sauce to get $3 off each ticket which would save me $15 ( that's the price of one ticket) My girlfriend at work said she would go with me . That day of course it was raining in the morning so I called everyone an delayed our departure by an hour.. When we got there it was sun shining but cold.. Chase was a trooper .. he wanted to ride every ride he saw..

He did every ride he was tall enough for all though some he did only once... like this mouse rides one it took you up and dropped you like 4 to 5 times.. I loved it ..

We will do this trip again next year and hopefully more than once.

The giant

This is Bandit.... She started out so small... 3 pounds to be exact when we got her.. now I would say she is pushing 40 or more... She was watching the kids playing outside and was trying to figure out how to get out there.. Bandit is a hand full and I am almost wishing the Dogwhisper could come and show me how to handle such a big dog.. wish they stayed puppies

"Hooked"

So I'm begin to be "hooked" ( get it) on the whole making earrings thing.. I had all of these beads left over from Christmas the one year from making angels and so I thought I could use them for earrings.. Then I had a 40% coupon from Michael's and so you know I just had to go.. WEll I kinda made like 10 pair in one day.. I had sooooo much fun and they turned out so great.. I want to keep all of them but I'm hoping to sell them. Hannah wants them too and is mad that that I wont let her have all of them... I ran out of the earring post so I am kinda on hold for now. Let me know what your favorite pair is....

Learning to ride...

I thought it was about time for Ashton to learn how to ride with out the training wheels.. Hannah can ride but Ashton has never really wanted too.. I seen that his training wheels were pretty rusted and that they really weren't doing much good so we took them off..He was not very happy but I promised him I wouldn't let go until he was ready. So off we went and I held on to the back of his shirt with a death grip and ran along him... After a couple of times Hannah took over just cheering him on and telling him not to think about it. Ashton got brave and he did some short rides and was doing very well.. Today he was braver and we got his tires filled up but now he wanted to get the whole turning around thing.. well say hello to our 1st injury of riding a bike. He now has a pretty good scrape on his knee and lets just say he wont be practicing turning for awhile..

Crazy or Creative???

It all started on day Chas had to go to Gander Mountain to get his hunting license .. the line was long so he decided to go look at the fishing lures until it got smaller.. We had to find Chase his usual stuffed fish ( he has 5 i think) and of course we found one he didn't have. Chas was checking out some spinner hooks and I was checking out how pretty some of them were... There was glittery ones... Silver ones... copper ones.. you name it they made it.. So I kinda veered off and was checking out ones that I could make into earring but yet not look like a fishing lure... There in the last isle I found hooks that had 2 spinners( the flat metal part) and matching beads on them .. can you imagine... Well my wheels started turning and I picked up 3 and headed off to find Chas.. We went to check out and I set them down and he looked at me with that "now what are you up too look" I simply replied " makin earings" he just shook his head and paid for them.. So then of course I had to stop at Michaels to get the rest of the part to make the earrings so when I got home I got to work..My girlfriend thought I lost it and offered to by me a pair if I really was in need.. So I wore them to work and got many complements and now I made 8 more pair to give away... I think I'm going to hand paint on some to sell .... By the way .. Chas liked them .. he said " Now all I have to do is get a 2inch hook and put it in your mouth and throw you in and see what I'll catch..." Ya funny hu? By the way the packaging is from the original I just cut it in half and restapled it... You could say I was being "green"

Anyone need a purse???

Most of you know I like to make purses.. I don't get much time but I am trying to stock up inventory on them so some day I can sell them. Here are some of my new ones..

Cuppie Cakes

So...I have yet to learn how to say NO when I'm asked to do something I'm not quite sure of..

My girlfriend at work asked me if i could make 70 cupcakes for a wedding shower.. 4 different kinds and with cream cheese icing.. ok I had never made cream cheese icing before and asked my mother "miss baker" herself for a recipe. She gave me one that only (i think) a skilled baker could make ...like my mother so I went on to allrecipes.com.. (thanks shelley) and found a great recipe for it. So I couldn't just put icing on them ...if anyone knows me I have to embellish a bit.. so I turned to my mother again and the queen saves all magazine clippings she finds interesting and there she found one of cupcakes for fall... There was a turkey with a tail that was swirled chocolate in a leaf shape... It was like a light bulb when off and so i swirled the chocolate and used small cookie cutter in leaf shapes used some edible glitter and viola!! fall cupcakes... I had so much fun I had to share them.. ( the bride liked them too) Another project completed..

If you don't know ...this is Andrew... my nephew... He has been away at the Naval Academy for this summer. This was on Induction day ... I was blessed enough to be there and share the day with his family...and it was a wonderful experience. Andrew is doing great. He loves his letters and has been super busy. He was ranked #1 plebe for the summer in his platoon and has aced so many challenges that they have done so far. I'm so proud of him as everyone else. We miss him and cant wait to hear all about his year. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.. "Miss you Andrew"
